Example: Say there is a limitation period of 30 days from the date of a motor vehicle accident to give a notice to the insurer, and your own case management plan requires you to issue legal proceedings within 2 months of the client first seeing you. There is also a limit of 3 years from the incident date in which to issue proceedings.

This is what to do:
Go to the Plan tab & create a New Master Plan:
Enter the Reference dates in the grid:
On the next page, OPTIONALLY enter some dates that make sense in terms of timing – you can change these later but it helps to have some dates in a normal sequence while creating the plan. You can delete them before saving if you want to. Example:
Now you can enter in the derived steps relative to the relative dates – you use the drop down menu in the “Relative to this Reference Date” column. Tip: drag the form wider to make more room for typing.
Keep clicking Next for other options & Save as “My Test”
The plan is now available for reuse over and over again.
Now to create a plan for your new matter. Go back to the Plan tab on the main form and select the plan:
Click Next, enter the actual reference dates for the current case:
Click Next and you have your plan:
